Eco Paint is a full-service paint contractor offering interior, exterior, commercial, and residential painting operating under OR CCB# 177941.
Steven and Susanne Smith founded Eco Paint in 2007; Steven has been painting professionally for over 20 years. Half of his practice has been painting houses, and the other half he was a lead foreman for a union painting contractor doing commercial and some light industrial work. Building on a Fine Arts background in college, he continues to study color and composition as well as specialty finishes. Fine home painting and smaller commercial jobs are how he got his start into the painting field and remain Eco Paint's current focus.
Steve began painting with low-voc products in 2004 and has used them exclusively since 2006. His motivations when he began were twofold; he was worried about the effects of long-term exposure to the chemicals in traditional paint, which were beginning to make him ill, and he had a growing concern about using any product that contributed to global climate change, as evidenced in An Inconvenient Truth."
What he has learned about off-gassing - the slow release of petrochemicals found even in latex paints - has only strengthened his commitment to use only environmentally friendly products and practices.

I have suffered from asthma and severe chemical-induced side-effects for many years. So I love the idea of eco friendly paint.
